Computer Futures seeks an experienced Storage Engineer to support and operate an enterprise storage and SAN environment in Basel. The role focuses on Hitachi Vantara VSP, Huawei OceanStor, and Brocade FC SAN systems within a mission-critical infrastructure landscape.

The candidate will configure, administer, and optimize storage, perform zoning and fabric management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. German C1 is mandatory, and on-site Basel work is required with limited remote days.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage environments.
• Strong practical experience with Hitachi Vantara VSP Storage Systems.
• Strong practical experience with Huawei OceanStor Storage.
• Strong practical experience with Brocade Fibre Channel SAN environments.
• Deep knowledge of Fibre Channel SAN technologies, including zoning and fabric management.
• Experience with storage troubleshooting, performance analysis and root cause investigation.
• Solid Linux and/or Windows Server knowledge.
• German language skills at C1 level (mandatory).
• Ability to work on-site in Basel.

• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, server and application teams.
• Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners.

Storage Engineer (Hitachi / Huawei / Brocade SAN)

Location: Basel, Switzerland
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Workload: 100%
Working Model: On-site during onboarding phase. After successful onboarding, up to 2 days remote per week possible (minimum 3 days on-site at customer location).

The Project

For our customer in Basel, we are looking for an experienced Storage Engineer to support and operate a complex enterprise storage and SAN environment. The consultant will work within a mission-critical infrastructure landscape based on Hitachi Vantara, Huawei OceanStor and Brocade Fibre Channel technologies.
