Zusammenfassung

Lonza in Stein, Switzerland, is seeking an Automation Technician (m/w/d) for our sterile production facility to support FATs, commissioning, and handover of automated systems. You will participate in maintenance, calibration and documentation, ensuring safety, cGMP compliance and reliable plant operation.

You will work closely with mechanical teams, train new staff, and help implement sustainability programs.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical apprenticeship as Automation Technician EFZ or equivalent in automation engineering.
• Professional experience in plant maintenance, preferably in pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Siemens Step7, TIA Portal or Emerson DeltaV is advantageous.
• Strong MS Office skills, Excel; SAP-PM and CMX are a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts and participate in on-call duty.
• Very good German skills; English skills desired.

Aufgaben

• Support FATs and commissioning to ensure smooth handover of aseptic facilities and automated systems.
• Provide first-level support, maintenance and troubleshooting for assigned automation-related systems; collaborate closely with mechanical teams to resolve technical issues.
• Carry out and document maintenance, calibration and commissioning work in accordance with safety, cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and control automated production and plant processes to ensure stable and reliable operation.
• Contribute to sustainability programs and tools that improve plant operability, system reliability and long-term performance.
• Prepare systems for operational readiness, including planning of operations, ensuring safe system operation, managing spare parts and tools and organizing necessary training.
• Train and onboard new employees in accordance with GxP and corporate policies.
