Zusammenfassung

UNHCR in Geneva is seeking an entry-level contractor to support the Statistical Inclusion, data governance, and data curation workstreams within SIMS. You will assist in monitoring MSP implementation, preparing analytical inputs, and curating datasets for UNHCR’s data platforms.

The role requires descriptive/inferential statistics skills, familiarity with official statistics, and proficiency in STATA, R or SPSS, plus strong Excel capabilities.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated ability in applied statistics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop written material based on statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with official statistics and multiple data sources (surveys, administrative data, census).
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively.
• Experience using statistical software such as STATA, R or SPSS.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Exposure to data management/databases and producing data visuals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in humanitarian/development action and SDG indicators.

Aufgaben

• Monitor and report on MSP implementation and data governance milestones.
• Prepare analytical inputs for GCR Indicator Review and related meetings.
• Curate aggregated statistics and document data management processes.
• Anonymize microdata in line with UNHCR framework and obtain publication authorization.
