Job summary

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Generative AI for Commerce in Zürich. The role demands leadership across high-impact projects, guiding architectural decisions, and delivering scalable software systems for a vast user base.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 2 years of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts.
• Experience building agentic workflows and tool-calling systems (e.g., with ADK, reasoning loops, multi-agent orchestration).

• Experience with distributed systems, RPC services, database architecture (Spanner/F1), and batch/streaming data pipelines (Flume).
