Job summary

Sonar is seeking a highly impactful Staff Engineer to join the Identity Squad within StoreFront. You will architect secure identity solutions bridging cloud and self-managed offerings, while mentoring engineers and guiding end-to-end delivery of critical features.

You will collaborate across Product Managers, Engineers, and other Staff/Principal engineers to ensure scalable, secure authN/authZ for millions of developers and thousands of requests per second.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software engineering experience in senior roles.
• Ability to drive multi-stakeholder initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Proficiency with Java and clean code practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers, Product Management, and engineering teams to deliver robust security features and an optimal user experience.
• Take ownership of squad deliverables and drive sprints to successful completion.
• Architect and guide the design of on-premises and AWS cloud applications.
• Oversee feature deployment, production monitoring, and troubleshoot live issues.
• Mentor team members to grow technically and remove blockers to autonomy.
• Contribute to the team’s short- and long-term goals.
