SMG Swiss Marketplace Group is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead frontend architecture for the Real Estate vertical. You’ll shape technical direction, build shared libraries, and drive cross-team initiatives while writing code and expanding team effectiveness.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams, mentor engineers, and champion performance, accessibility, and reliability across our web platforms. This is a hybrid role in Switzerland.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of professional experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks.
• Proven track record of implementing and maintaining automated frontend testing (Jest, Vitest, Cypress).
• Experience collaborating with designers using Figma and building large-scale frontend apps.
• Senior technical leadership in Staff/Lead roles including cross-team initiatives.
• Strong understanding of modern CI/CD for frontend and microfrontend architecture.
• Experience creating shared frontend solutions and driving adoption across teams.
• Proven ability to influence multiple teams and mentor engineers.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.

• Set technical direction for frontend across multiple teams and align engineers, product managers, designers and stakeholders.
• Influence roadmaps, investments, and priorities by linking frontend strategy to business outcomes.
• Architect and evolve real estate frontend platforms with performance, accessibility, UX, and reliability focus.
• Lead cross-team frontend initiatives like shared design systems and observability patterns.
• Mentor engineers through coaching and structured trainings; drive culture of engineering excellence.
• Write code and empower others by multiplying team effectiveness, not just individual output.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other teams to shape technical strategy and trade-offs.
