Staff Engineer, AI Inference Platform Features

Job summary

Lyceum is expanding its AI inference platform and is seeking engineers to own backend and infrastructure capabilities. You will design and ship model serving configurations, API surfaces, and developer-facing interfaces while ensuring reliability at scale.

You will collaborate with customers and the commercial team to translate feedback into real technical designs and enhancements, driving end-to-end developer experience from setup through monitoring in production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering, backend or infra focus.
• Proficiency in Go and Python.
• Hands-on with at least one ML inference serving framework (vLLM, TGI, etc).
• Solid understanding of how LLMs and other AI models are deployed and served in production.
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs and designing developer-facing interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship platform capabilities for model serving and API features.
• Work with customers and commercial teams to translate requests into technical designs.
• Improve the end-to-end developer experience from setup to production monitoring and debugging.
