IonQ in Geneva is seeking a Staff Cryptography Engineer to advance post-quantum cryptography hardware acceleration for HSM and network appliances. You will implement reference models, optimized software, and test infrastructure for ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA/LMS in C/C++/Rust and Python.

Collaborate with senior cryptographers, support RTL/firmware teams, and help evaluate third‑party libraries, while ensuring constant‑time implementations and certification readiness (CAVP/ACVP).

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Cryptography, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with at least five years of cryptographic software experience.
• Strong, hands-on development skills in C/C++/Rust with a focus on correctness and testability.
• Experience with NIST test vectors, ACVP/CAVP or certification‑oriented development is a plus.
