Jobbeschreibung

(maximum duration contract, start asap to August 2028, Geneva based) The World Economic Forum is an independent, not-for-profit organization, headquartered in Geneva, with offices in New York, San Francisco, Beijing, and Tokyo. We are the trusted platform for public-private cooperation where leaders come together to understand global challenges and drive action across sectors and regions. We create spaces where different stakeholders engage openly, build trust, and collaborate to help solve shared global challenges.

Context and why we are recruiting?

Green Growth Pathways is a World Economic Forum initiative that helps leaders from business, policy and financial institutions translate climate and nature ambition into practical, investible and relevant transition pathways that unlock new sources of sustainable growth and deliver economic and planetary resilience. Building on the Forum’s earlier Nature Positive Transitions initiative and sectoral reports, the initiative aims to translate global industry pathways to place-based action by developing regional roadmaps, surfacing nature-positive investment opportunities and supporting market-shaping actions. Through collaboration with international financial institutions, investors, companies, policymakers and expert partners, the initiative aims to unlock new sources of sustainable growth and resilience while accelerating the transition to climate- and nature-positive economies. The initiative is about to launch its inaugural regional roadmap and a new phase of its nature-positive investment workstream. The role will work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team to deliver strategy and execution of these two workstreams: Regional Roadmaps for Climate, Nature, and Resilience; and Nature-Positive Investment Pathways.

Reporting line and how this role is embedded in the wider team?

The Lead will report to the Programme Lead of the Green Growth Pathways initiative, an initiative within the Economic and Policy Agenda team of the Centre for Nature and Climate working with leaders in business, finance, and government to deliver climate and nature ambitions alongside growth and resilience objectives. Internally, this role will work closely with initiative leads across the Centre for Nature and Climate to drive impact and engagement; partner with Forum business development, regional and industry teams to support partner engagement and delivery across relevant communities; and collaborate with other Forum Centres. This role may oversee associated project teams, fellows, secondees, consultants and external knowledge partnerships supporting initiative activities. Externally, this role will cultivate relationships with business leaders, regional and national policy makers, financial institutions, scientific and technical experts, industry associations, civil society organizations, consulting and advisory firms, and academic institutions.

What will you be responsible for?

Strategy and Content Development: Work closely with the Programme Lead to set strategic direction and delivery of the Regional Roadmaps workstream as part of the Green Growth Pathways initiative, ensuring alignment with broader Centre for Nature and Climate and institutional priorities. Develop, design and deliver regional roadmaps for selected geographies that integrate climate, nature and resilience objectives alongside economic development imperatives. Develop thought leadership to align finance and investment with nature-positive outcomes. Deliver data analysis and written outputs as part of flagship World Economic Forum publications, in partnership with knowledge partners. Lead communications, thought leadership and external positioning to demonstrate the Forum’s contribution to nature-positive, climate-aligned and resilient economic transitions. External engagement: Engage leaders across industries, finance, and government to advance objectives of Green Growth Pathways and drive real-world impact. Steward and expand working groups and executive communities of business and financial institution partners. Build a programme of workshops, convenings, and community activities. Ensure successful delivery of initiative milestones.
