Westminster Public Schools seeks an ESP - Instructional Assistant to support students with significant cognitive and behavioral disabilities district-wide. 8 hours per day, 181 days per year, with a classified rate of $25.55–$29.95 per hour.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent plus an Associate Degree/48 college credits or ParaPro PRAXIS/WorkKeys. CPI, SEPA training within 90 days, First Aid/CPR, and FERPA confidentiality are required.

Qualifikationen

• Must complete SEPA training within 90 calendar days of employment.
• Works with students with significant cognitive and behavioral disabilities, including autism.
• Pass pre-employment background checks.
• Obtains CPI training & certification.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Demonstrates excellent student rapport skills.
• Ability to communicate and work with diverse backgrounds.
• Adheres to FERPA confidentiality.
• Recognizes safety importance and reports unsafe conditions.
• Experience with office equipment and assistive tech devices.

Aufgaben

• Provides instructional support for students with IEPs inside and outside the general classroom.
• Ensures student safety and supervision, in-school transport, and personal care as needed.
• Modifies assignments to student level per disability.
• Paper management and communication notebooks.
• Acts as scribe for students when required.
• Participates in district training and professional development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
