Zusammenfassung

Threema is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between our product and organizations relying on it. You will support integrations, translate customer requirements into practical solutions, and ensure smooth go-lives from first contact to deployment.

The role emphasizes REST APIs, IT security, and network infrastructure, with opportunities for travel. We offer flexible hours and hybrid work from Pfäffikon SZ in the Greater Zurich Area.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in computer science or comparable advanced technical education with several years of practical experience
• Ideally 3 years of experience as a Solution Engineer
• Experience in technical consulting and support of IT solutions
• Knowledge of and experience with REST APIs
• Solid knowledge in IT security, encryption technologies, and network infrastructure
• Confident manner and the ability to explain complex matters simply
• Strong customer orientation and willingness to take on responsibility
• Team player with analytical skills and ability to grasp new topics
• Ability to work independently
• Good German skills and very good English skills, written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
• Willingness to travel if required
• Bonus points for Rust experience

Your Role

We are looking for a pragmatic and experienced Solution Engineer who wants to join us in revolutionizing the way people and organizations communicate securely and privately. As a Solution Engineer, you’ll be the technical bridge between our product and the organizations that rely on it - supporting integrations, translating complex customer requirements into workable solutions, and making sure implementations run smoothly from first contact to go-live. Your work will directly protect millions of people and critical infrastructure worldwide, from private individuals to governments and the military.

Your Responsibilities

• Technical consulting: Advising customers and prospects on technical questions relating to Threema products and solutions
• Requirements analysis: Understanding customer requirements and developing tailored solution proposals
• Scripting: Understanding and using the Threema product APIs (REST APIs)
• Product integration: Supporting the integration of Threema products into existing IT infrastructures and applications (AD, MDM, SAP, CRMs, etc.)
• Connectors: Working on integrations and connectors that can be offered as add-on products
• Support: Providing technical support for on-premises installations and technical support for customers throughout the entire lifecycle of the solution
• RFI: Responding to RFIs and RFPs
• Training: Conducting training sessions for customers and internal teams on Threema products and their implementation
• Documentation: Creating technical documentation and guides for customers and internal teams

What You Ideally Bring

• University degree in computer science or comparable advanced technical education (federal diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent) with several years of practical experience
• Ideally 3 years of experience as a Solution Engineer
• Experience in technical consulting and support of IT solutions
• Knowledge of and experience with REST APIs
• Solid knowledge in the areas of IT security, encryption technologies, and network infrastructure
• Confident manner and the ability to explain complex matters simply
• Strong customer orientation, a high level of quality awareness, and a willingness to take on responsibility
• Team player with analytical skills and a quick grasp of new topics
• Ability to work independently
• Good German skills and very good English skills, written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
• Willingness to travel if required
• Bonus points for experience in software development and programming in Rust
