Job summary

Google LLC in Zürich is seeking a Software Engineer III for YouTube Trust and Safety Automation to help build state-of-the-art video content understanding and automated enforcement systems.

You will analyze gaps, build classifiers across modalities, and collaborate with research, operations, and product teams to scale safety decisions while enabling human review and LLM-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (C++, Python, SQL).
• 1 year of experience with Speech/Audio ML, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related ML field.
• 1 year of experience with end-to-end Machine Learning: model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand gaps in Video and Channels content understanding.
• Build classifiers for YouTube videos and livestreams using multiple modalities (video, image, audio, transcripts, metadata).
• Build efficient infrastructure to orchestrate classifiers and enforce actions.
• Utilize human review and compute capacity to maximize safety on the platform.
• Collaborate with research, operations, product teams and Design, build, productionize, and maintain solutions.
