Google in Zurich is seeking software engineers to design, develop and deploy next-generation systems at scale. You will work on projects critical to Google’s needs, contributing across full-stack development, data storage and AI-enabled features while collaborating with product and program management to meet ambitious milestones.

Ideal candidates bring strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems, plus hands-on experience with Java or C++.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and platforms to manage efficiency.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of ad quality metrics to ensure data changes directly improve user and advertiser experiences.
• Knowledge of infrastructure design principles to support high-performance downstream serving engines.

• Design and implement new capabilities in Feeds Infrastructure and improve the Quality of Data in Shopping Graph.
• Write robust, reliable, efficient, and testable software.
• Engage in design/code reviews, architecture discussions and infrastructure reviews.
• Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management and program management.
• Create and engage in a collaborative team atmosphere.
