Google is hiring software engineers to develop the next-gen compute infrastructure and cloud platform, enabling Googlers to build fast at the edge of technology. Engineers may switch teams as the company grows, tackling projects across full-stack development and large-scale distributed systems.

We seek versatile engineers who can contribute to cutting-edge AI platforms, security, and data storage, with opportunities to work on OnePlatform APIs and security level gating from the start.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, TypeScript).
• Experience with open-source software, package managers (e.g., Maven, PyPI, npm, Docker, Apt), and dependency management.
• Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts.

Hybrid connections come with new security risks. Before, manual reviews and checklists were required before allowing a client to call a dependency.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Germany: €106000 - €108000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
