Job summary

Adnovum in Bern seeks an experienced software engineer to contribute to tailor-made solutions for public sector clients. You will analyze requirements, design, implement and maintain complex mobile and web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React/TypeScript, and modern deployment tools.

The role requires a university degree in computer science, several years of hands-on experience, and strong German and English communication.

Qualifications

University degree in computer science or similar.
Several years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, JS Frontend Frameworks, state-of-the-art CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and cloud stack.
Great interest in digitalisation of the public sector and in software project contexts.
Enjoyment of and dedication in dealings with clients and colleagues.
Determination and wit to contribute valuable ideas within the team and independently.
Excellent command of German and English.

Responsibilities

Analyzing and developing solution variants and assessing viability regarding client benefit, technology, and effort
Implementing these complex requirements with a wide range of modern technologies, such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, TypeScript, Apache Kafka, Swift, Azure, Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
(Re-)Developing and maintaining software components and interfaces in a demanding and business critical environment
Integrating software solutions according to modern deployment principles (CI/CD) and merging them with the existing systems of our clients
Using the latest methodologies and tools, as well as cooperating with colleagues and clients through modern collaboration platforms
