Site Reliability Engineer / Software Developer (open to all genders, 60–100%)

Responsibilities

You are responsible for the operation and maintenance of sophisticated web applications. You monitor the performance and availability of our web applications in real time.

Incident Response. You respond to disruptions and outages, perform rapid root cause analysis (RCA), and create postmortems to learn from mistakes.

You work as part of the development team to design the codebase so that it can be deployed more easily and operated more reliably and efficiently.

Process Automation. You identify manual processes and automate them to increase efficiency and reduce human error.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing. You create and maintain technical documentation and actively share your knowledge with the team to improve overall performance.

You take responsibility for the operation and monitoring of the system in accordance with the SLA.

Requirements

• Experience in system administration and knowledge of cloud infrastructure with a focus on resilience and scalability.
• Application development in TypeScript and PHP.
• Experience with methodological patterns for the backend and frontend of web applications.
• Handling incidents and postmortems: Ability to respond quickly and independently to issues, analyze the causes, and develop solutions to prevent similar problems in the future.
• Confident communicator in German and English.
