Job summary

Galaxus, Switzerland’s leading e-commerce platform, is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for Team Appic. You’ll link web frontend to native apps, building web interfaces and APIs that power mobile experiences, while ensuring push notifications are delivered reliably.

You bring 5+ years in fullstack development (React/TypeScript frontend, .NET/C# backend), with GraphQL and MongoDB experience, plus mobile skills (Swift/Kotlin). Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship code across the full stack from frontend to backend.
• Maintain web-facing interfaces and APIs used by mobile apps; enable WebViews integration.
• Ensure push-notification backend reliability to deliver required pushes.
• Coordinate native feature development for iOS and Android with feature teams.
• Coach and mentor engineers, explaining complex topics clearly.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on Team Appic, you're the vital link between our native apps and the web frontend and backend. You build the web layer that lets the app talk to it flawlessly, forging a seamless bridge between web and native and you make sure our backend never misses a beat delivering push notifications.

Your responsibilities

• Hands-on execution is at the core of what you do: designing, building, and shipping code across the full stack, from frontend to backend
• You build and maintain the web-facing interfaces and APIs the mobile apps rely on, and support the integration of the web application into the native apps via WebViews
• The technical reliability of the push-notification module falls under your care, ensuring the backend can deliver all the pushes the apps need
• Coordinating the development of native features for iOS and Android happens in close alignment with the feature teams involved, including clarifying dependencies and interfaces
• Coaching software engineers comes naturally to you, backed by the interpersonal skills to explain complex topics and concepts clearly

Your skills

• A strong track record as a hands-on software engineer, deeply involved in designing and building complex solutions day to day
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (ETH/university/university of applied sciences), or equivalent relevant work experience
• Proven experience (5 years+) in classic fullstack web development, both frontend (ideally React/TypeScript) and backend (ideally .NET/C#). Experience with GraphQL, MongoDB, and mobile development (Swift, Kotlin) is a plus
• Ideally, some experience with the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile apps (Android & iOS) or the motivation and initiative to grow into this area
• A willingness to challenge «how things have always been done» and propose more efficient, automated or effective solutions
• Using creativity and initiative to solve problems and achieve goals
• Fluent English (working language); good German is a plus
