Zusammenfassung

Swissquote, a leading digital bank in Switzerland, is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for Cloud Operations to help migrate and modernize applications running on Kubernetes while keeping production platforms reliable at scale.

You will work closely with Software and IT Engineers to improve reliability, performance and operational readiness, designing and operating service mesh deployments, and implementing safe deployment patterns such as canaries.

Qualifikationen

• At least 3 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering or a similar production-focused role.
• Hands-on experience running production workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift/EKS.
• Good knowledge of Helm and packaging/deploying with it.
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd, or strong Kubernetes networking experience.
• Experience with GitOps and modern deployment strategies (canary, progressive delivery).
• Understanding of SLOs, SLOs and KPIs; ability to drive improvements.
• Observability/tracing tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/OpenTelemetry).
• Strong Linux fundamentals; basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
• Programming in Python, Go, Bash or similar for automation.

Aufgaben

• Migrate and modernize production applications on Kubernetes.
• Integrate third-party software into production platforms and ensure it fits our standards.
• Collaborate with Software and IT Engineers to improve reliability, performance and operational readiness.
• Design and operate applications on our service mesh platform.
• Implement canary releases and progressive rollouts for safe deployments.
• Define SLOs/SLIs/KPIs and use them to drive improvements.
• Improve observability across metrics, logs and traces.
• Explore and integrate AI tools for troubleshooting and remediation.
• Test system behavior under load and failures.
• Automate repetitive operational work.
• Provide Level-3 support and participate in on-call rotation.
