Job summary

La Gourmandine in Savièse (Valais) seeks a Server/Restaurant Assistant on a permanent contract for 40–80%. You will ensure welcoming reception, assist customers, promote specialties and manage opening/closing duties in a vibrant team environment.

We value several years in catering, a passion for service, and fluency in French. Expect 5 weeks’ holiday, a 13th-month salary, Sunday/public holiday surcharges, and staff discounts. Availability Mon–Fri early hours with weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Years of catering experience to enhance services and menus.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and building loyalty through service.
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
• Experience preparing ice creams, crepes and specialty drinks.
• Ability to maintain strong presentation of goods, including buffet items.
• Stock and cellar management and high-quality service.
• Flexible, stress-resistant and able to work independently with weekend shifts.
• Strong organizational skills, dynamism, team spirit and positive attitude.
• Available for hours Mon–Fri 5:30–19:00 and weekends 5:30–18:00 with 4 weeks advance planning.

Server/Restaurant Assistant (m/f/d) - Permanent Contract - 40-80% - Savièse La Gourmandine

Your tasks:

• You ensure daily impeccable reception, advice and customer service
• You are attentive to customers’ requests and well-being
• You promote specialities and new products
• You create a welcoming and warm atmosphere
• You take care of table setting as well as opening and closing the restaurant

What you bring:

• Your several years of experience in catering allow you to enhance the services and menus offered.
• You pay particular attention to customer satisfaction and know how to build customer loyalty through your service.
• You have very good knowledge of French (spoken and written)
• You prepare ice creams, crepes, and speciality drinks.
• Ensure optimal presentation of goods, including the salad buffet, drinks, and ice creams.
• You efficiently manage stocks, the cellar, and service
• Flexible and stress-resistant, you know how to work independently and Sunday and weekend work is not a barrier for you.
• Furthermore, you stand out through your organisational skills, dynamism, team spirit and a positive attitude in all circumstances.
• You are available for the following hours: Monday to Friday between 5:30 am and 7 pm, weekend 5:30 am to 6 pm (variable hours planned 4 weeks in advance).
