Our client is a growing Swiss digital agency helping small and medium-sized businesses accelerate their growth through SEO, AI-driven solutions, performance marketing, web development and other digital services.

To support their continued expansion, we are looking for a specialist SEO Content Writer with native-level German and proven experience producing search-focused content at scale.

This is a hands-on writing role. We are particularly interested in candidates whose core professional experience is writing SEO content rather than broader content marketing, social media, campaign management or content strategy.

Your Role

As SEO Content Writer, you will research and produce SEO-focused content across a wide range of industries and subjects, including long-form articles, landing pages, blog posts and structured web content.

A key part of the role is the ability to produce fast, purposeful and well-structured content at volume, where article length, keyword targeting, search intent and ranking performance are important considerations.

Some assignments will require more in-depth, qualitative writing; others will require efficient production of larger volumes of search-focused content. You should be comfortable switching between both.

You will work closely with SEO specialists and be expected to understand why content is structured and written in a particular way for search, rather than simply following a content brief.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write SEO-focused articles, landing pages, blog posts and web content
• Produce high volumes of content efficiently while maintaining accuracy and consistency
• Write content designed around keywords, search intent and ranking objectives
• Work across multiple clients, assignments, industries and subjects simultaneously
• Quickly research unfamiliar topics and turn them into clear, authoritative content
• Structure content according to modern SEO and AEO principles
• Adapt the depth, tone and structure of content depending on the objective of the assignment
• Produce both quantity-driven SEO content and more qualitative, reader-focused content
• Work within defined article lengths and word-count requirements
• Occasionally produce content in Swiss Standard German
• Stay current with developments in SEO, AEO, AI search and content optimisation

Your Profile

• Native-level German
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Proven professional experience as an SEO Writer, SEO Content Writer, SEO Texter or similar
• Strong hands-on experience producing written content specifically for organic search
• Excellent understanding of keywords, search intent, content structure and on-page SEO
• Demonstrated ability to produce content quickly and at scale
• Experience managing multiple writing assignments, topics or clients simultaneously
• Experience working with content assignments priced or measured per word
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar or complex subjects
• Comfortable writing across different industries, including technical or specialist subjects
• Able to balance SEO performance, quantity and writing quality depending on the assignment
• Strong interest in AEO, AI search and the evolution of organic search
• Reliable and comfortable working independently

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Swiss Standard German
• Previous freelance SEO writing experience
• Experience writing for multiple clients or agencies simultaneously
• Experience with AI-assisted research and writing workflows
