Zusammenfassung

Intelligenz IT is seeking an experienced Trino Power User / Analyst to design, deploy, optimize and operate distributed query platforms in an on-premises Kubernetes environment.

You will lead hands-on deployment and tuning of Trino clusters, manage catalogs and connectors, and ensure performance, security and availability in a regulated setting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is required.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with Trino / Presto cluster deployment and operations.
• Strong understanding of Trino architecture, coordinator/worker model, query execution and query planning.
• Experience deploying and operating Trino on Kubernetes / containerized environments.
• Experience with Trino catalogs and connectors for Hive, Iceberg, Kafka and object storage.
• Strong expertise in query performance tuning and distributed query optimization.
• Experience with joins, partition pruning, predicate pushdown, memory, CPU, spill and resource optimization.
• Knowledge of resource groups, workload management, query prioritization and concurrency limits.
• Experience ensuring high availability, scalability and fault tolerance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for query failures, resource contention and system-level issues.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of LDAP, Kerberos and RBAC security/access control mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Mesh and Federated Query architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux and networking.
• Familiarity with Java/JVM-based systems.
• Basic scripting/programming skills in Python and Bash for automation.
• Experience working with Agile and cross-functional teams.
• Financial Services or regulated-environment experience is a plus.
