Job summary

COFCO International, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, seeks a seasoned Trade Finance Officer to manage LC instruments, bank guarantees and documentary collections while coordinating with traders, treasury and operations to secure efficient financing solutions. The role requires 10+ years in trade finance, strong knowledge of international instruments, and advanced Excel skills.

Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or related discipline.
10+ years of experience in trade finance, banking, or international trade.
Experience with commodity trading environments and international trade finance instruments.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage Letters of Credit, standby LCs, documentary collections, bank guarantees and other Trade Finance instruments.
Review trade contracts and financing requirements for compliance with banking and internal policies.
Manage document checking and discrepancy resolution with banks, customers and suppliers.
Ensure timely presentation of shipping and commercial documents.
Contribute to process improvements and reporting automation.
Prompt identification and escalation of risks and exceptions.
