Zusammenfassung

Sonar is seeking a Senior or Staff Technical Writer to own developer-facing content across the SonarQube product suite. You will work closely with engineers and PMs, in the same repos and PRs, shaping documentation as a discipline and maintaining high-quality examples and tutorials.

You will craft guides, tutorials, and release notes, ensuring content remains accurate and aligned with product changes. Based in Geneva, you’ll influence style, structure, and tooling across the team.

Qualifikationen

• Proven track record of creating technical content for developer audiences (portfolio/examples).
• Fluency in a docs-as-code workflow: Markdown or similar markup, Git, and repo collaboration.
• Strong software development or DevOps background with proficiency in some programming languages.
• Comfort using AI tools to augment workflow and validate AI-generated content.
• Experience cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to ship documentation with features.
• Strong information architecture sense: tutorials, how-tos, references, concepts.

Aufgaben

• Plan, write, and maintain high-quality documentation for developer audiences (getting-started guides, how-tos, conceptual explanations, release notes).
• Work in a docs-as-code workflow — authoring in Markdown, submitting PRs, reviewing diffs, CI integration.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and content auditing; own output quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers to document new features accurately and on time.
• Verify and maintain code samples across integrations to ensure they compile and stay current.
• Audit and improve existing documentation for accuracy, structure, and voice.
• Help evolve style guide, information architecture, and content standards.
• Mentor other writers and support docs-adjacent inquiries.
