Job summary

Google LLC in Zürich is seeking a software engineer to design and build scalable backend and frontend systems powering large-scale reporting infrastructure.

You will collaborate with PMs and UX to translate requirements into robust features, participate in on-call rotations, and help reduce latency for advertisers.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of full-stack experience; Master’s or PhD is a plus, with experience across Java, Python, and JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the core reporting infrastructure: RVL, UDFs, Reporting Servers, Dynamo.
• Work with Product Manager (PM) and User Experience (UX) to understand product requirements and develop the features.
• Part of oncall rotations, and keeping the system healthy.
• Design and improve advertiser experience latency.
