Job summary

TWINT is seeking Senior Software Engineers based in Zurich or Bern with the flexibility of a Home Office. Take technical ownership from development to testing and operations, and deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions in a modern payments environment.

You will work with Java/Java EE (WildFly, Spring Boot), RESTful APIs and testing with JUnit/Mockito/Testcontainers, and contribute to architecture decisions while improving performance and observability (Datadog/Kibana/Grafana).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in complex environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Java/Java EE with WildFly and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SQL, JPA/Hibernate, Gradle, and Git.
• RESTful APIs testing with JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers.
• Familiar with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes; hexagonal architecture a plus.
• Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Independent, collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership from development to testing and operations.
• Analyze complex problems and manage incidents with internal teams and partners.
• Translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and focus on clean code.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve products, platforms, and services.
• Improve performance and observability using Datadog, Kibana, Grafana.
• Support teammates during sprints and foster continuous improvement.
• Evolve technology stack with emphasis on performance and reliability.
