Job summary

TWINT is seeking Senior Software Engineers based in Zurich or Bern with Home Office flexibility. You will own features end-to-end, solve complex problems with internal teams and partners, and translate business needs into robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience in a business and technically complex environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Java/Java EE with Wildfly and Spring Boot.
• Familiar with SQL, JPA/Hibernate, Gradle, and Git.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and testing with JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Exposure to modern architectural patterns (e.g., hexagonal architecture) and technologies like Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices.

• Take technical ownership of new feature implementation – from development to testing and operations – to deliver high-quality results
• Analyze complex problems and manage incidents together with internal teams and partners, driving sustainable solutions
• Translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions
• Strong focus on clean code and active participation in code reviews
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the continuous enhancement of our products, platforms, and services
• Strengthen system performance and observability using tools such as Datadog, Kibana, or Grafana
• Support your teammates during sprints and foster continuous improvement within the team
• Contribute to the evolution of our technology stack and architecture, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable field
• 10+ years of practical experience in software engineering within a business and technically complex environment
• Excellent knowledge of Java/Java EE with Wildfly and Spring Boot
• Familiar with SQL, JPA/Hibernate, Gradle, and Git
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and strong testing skills using JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers
• Exposure to modern architectural patterns (e.g., hexagonal architecture) and technologies like Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
• Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices
• Independent, reliable, and collaborative team player
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
