Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Geneva to design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs. You will lead end-to-end delivery, work with cross-functional teams, and apply cloud-native practices to ensure reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software development, strong ownership of production services, and proficiency in at least one modern language with AWS/Docker/Kubernetes experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating backend or full-stack services with low-level design, API design, and data modeling.
• Proven ownership of one or more production services or components within a team or multi-service domain.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and cloud-native deployment.

• Design, build, and evolve highly available, scalable services and APIs across multiple domains.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from discovery to deployment and operations with emphasis on reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Raise the technical bar through design/code reviews, mentorship, and implementation of best practices.
• Design and implement agentic experiences and AI/ML concepts in real-world products.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, tooling, automation, and operational excellence.
