Job summary

TetraScience, Inc. in Switzerland is seeking a senior, hands-on Data Engineer to join our forward deployed teams.

You will work directly with biotech, pharmaceutical, and scientific customers to bring advanced data and AI technologies into labs that research, develop, and manufacture medicines. Work alongside customer scientific, engineering, and IT teams to design, build, and ship integrations on Tetra OS, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with Product Managers and Solution Architects to

Qualifications

• Demonstrated history building and delivering data products, integrations, and scientific applications as a Data Engineer or in a similar field.
• Expertise in Python and working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, React, SQL.
• Familiarity with networking, CI/CD, and full stack development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a forward deployed engineer for a portfolio of biotech, pharmaceutical, and scientific customers.
• Design and build bidirectional integrations between Tetra OS and customer systems (ELN, LIMS, MES) with Python/TypeScript.
• Create data schemas and parsers for scientific data from various sources in formats such as Excel, PDF, TXT, and binaries.
• Deploy and test solutions in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments; troubleshoot full stack issues.
• Lead design sessions and drive process improvements to enhance product quality and developer experience.
• Mentor junior engineers and demonstrate leadership across projects.
