Job summary

ANYbotics in Zurich is seeking a Senior Reinforcement Learning Engineer to join our Motion Intelligence team. You will lead RL policy development and deployment for autonomous legged robots in industrial environments, bridging sim-to-real challenges.

You will mentor engineers, shape tooling, and build robust, scalable RL pipelines, collaborating across cross-functional teams. A PhD or equivalent experience and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• PhD in robotics, ML, CS or related field with RL focus.
• Master's degree with 5+ years in robotics or ML.
• Proven experience shipping ML models to the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, training, and deployment of reinforcement learning policies for robot motion — bridging simulation to real-world performance.
• Provide senior technical guidance on RL and learning-based control across the team, mentoring engineers and establishing best practices.
• Own and evolve the RL training infrastructure and sim-to-real pipeline, ensuring reproducibility, scalability, and fast iteration cycles.
• Shape the technical vision for internal ML tooling and experiment management, driving efficiency and rigour across learning workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to expand the robot's autonomous operational envelope.
