Job summary

Magpie Projects Holding GmbH is seeking an experienced risk management consultant to advise financial services risk departments and support regulatory compliance. You will develop governance structures, design risk and valuation models, and build long-term client relationships through workshops and training.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in finance, strong data analysis skills, and fluent German and English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Mathematics or related field; Master’s/MBA/PhD a strong plus.
• 2–4 years in financial sector with a strong focus on risk management.
• Regulatory familiarity with Basel III/IV or MaRisk; applying this expertise daily.
• Hands-on data analysis and risk data models experience.
• Fluent German and English communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Solution-oriented, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Willingness for on-site client work and intercultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Advise risk departments on strategic, regulatory, and financial matters to guide them through complex challenges.
• Support risk controlling activities related to regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, CRR, MaRisk, DORA).
• Develop robust governance structures and control mechanisms to optimize risk management.
• Design and implement risk and valuation models delivering real-world value for clients.
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted risk management expert and deliver workshops.
• Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to translate insights into practical solutions.
