Job summary

Distran is seeking a software engineer to develop high-performance C++ and Python code for real-time ultrasound camera software. You will implement fast video processing pipelines and supporting services within a Scrum-driven cross-functional team on Linux.

The role emphasizes GPU-accelerated computing, embedded systems experience, and CI/CD practices with Docker/Jenkins. Fluency in English and collaboration with AI coding tools are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software development.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ and Python.
• Comfortable with Linux command line tools.
• Fluent with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and able to discuss benefits/challenges.
• Interest in learning new tech stacks in a cross-functional environment.
• Nice-to-have: CUDA or GPU computing experience.
• Experience with embedded systems (Yocto, cross-compilation, constrained devices).
• Experience with Qt/QML; messaging interfaces (ZMQ).
• DevOps exposure (Docker, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance C++ and Python code for real-time video pipelines.
• Implement efficient video processing using GPU acceleration when available.
• Develop supporting services for real-time leak detection and quantification.
• Collaborate in Scrum-driven cross-functional teams and code reviews.
• Document and test systems, processes, and workflows.
