Job summary

Stadler Rail AG is seeking a highly experienced software engineer to develop safety-critical vehicle and track-side software, aligned with EN standards and CBTC systems. The role focuses on new feature implementation for NOVA Pro CBTC, and software for automated, driverless operation.

You'll support assessments and approvals, and prepare requirements, architecture and design artifacts for validation. Strong collaboration within a cross-functional team is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in signalling
• Knowledge of railway standards (EN 50126, 50129, 50128/50716, ISO 27001/9001)
• Proficiency with DNG and SDLC principles

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical vehicle and track-side software per EN standards (50126/50128/50716/50129)
• Implement new features in signaling products (NOVA Pro CBTC System)
• Develop software for automated, driverless operation
• Support assessments and state-specific approvals
• Prepare and maintain requirement specs, architecture and design as input for validation
