Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer (Playwright/TypeScript) based in Switzerland. You will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end and API tests, migrating legacy Java-based tests to Playwright and shaping scalable testing infrastructure in a fully remote setup.

You will drive performance testing with k6, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, review code, and mentor teammates while collaborating with product and development teams to raise quality

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or a related engineering role.
• Proficiency in TypeScript with interfaces, generics, and async/await patterns.
• Hands-on experience building Playwright automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Proven experience automating UI workflows through E2E testing and REST API testing.
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques and risk-based prioritization.
• Experience with load and performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust; k6 is valuable.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable automation code for parallel execution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and collaboration.
• Familiarity with Java, Maven, and Selenide is a plus; experience with Git-based CI/CD is desirable.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and stabilize automated E2E and API tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Lead migration of legacy Java/Selenide tests to Playwright/TypeScript.
• Build and improve test automation architecture including fixtures and data management.
• Develop load-testing scenarios using k6 and analyze performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize performance and coverage across UI, API, and performance tests.
• Conduct code reviews and promote quality standards across the team.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote automation best practices.
