Zusammenfassung

Scalera, Zürich HQ, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to help scale an AI-driven procurement platform. You will build services and APIs, integrate AI models into production, and handle large datasets with a focus on reliability.

You will work closely with the CTO and VP Engineering, tackling unique challenges and applying new AI techniques to real procurement problems across Europe.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Python as primary language.
• Strong API design skills and experience with RESTful systems.
• Hands-on production experience with FastAPI or Django; solid data modeling.
• Familiar with CI/CD and maintaining high code quality and maintainability.
• Able to scope, prioritize, and deliver in ambiguous environments with clear communication.

Aufgaben

• Own problems end-to-end: talk to users, understand needs, and ship solutions.
• Build and maintain Python backend services bringing AI capabilities into production (e.g., document parsing, supplier matching, bid scoring).
• Design and implement APIs and integrations connecting AI systems with frontend apps and external platforms.
• Develop data pipelines to ingest, normalize, and process large construction data volumes.
• Collaborate on code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute ideas on applying new AI techniques to procurement challenges.
