PartnerRe in Zurich seeks a senior pricing professional to partner with underwriters, providing profitability analysis and pricing for Casualty and Motor reinsurance across the EMEA region.

You will develop pricing methodologies, perform market reviews and contribute to pricing tool enhancements while collaborating with risk management and senior stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or higher in a quantitative field; actuarial focus preferred.

The position is embedded in the World-Wide Pricing & Analytics department, which is part of the Group Underwriting Office.

About The Role

The successful candidate will join the Casualty EMEA Pricing team in Zurich, which is part of the World-Wide Casualty Pricing & Analytics group and has pricing responsibility for Casualty and Motor lines of business across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Role

Your core responsibility is to be a Business Partner for the underwriters by providing profitability analysis of markets, segments, and individual transactions. In this role you will:

• Provide timely and transparent account pricing for long tailed Casualty and Motor reinsurance treaty business.
• Contribute to the development of pricing methodologies and parameters for Casualty business across EMEA region.
• Perform market analysis and business reviews that will support PartnerRe portfolio optimization.
• Contribute to the development, testing and maintenance of the corporate pricing tool and reporting landscapes.
• Participate on a variety of project teams (model development, annual parameter studies, ad hoc requests)

A key success factor in this role is regular exchange with Underwriters and other business partners, such as Reserving, Risk Management and Senior Management.

About You

You have gained 10+ years of relevant industry experience including 7+ years of reinsurance pricing or large account primary insurance pricing experience, and wish to develop further in this area.

Furthermore, You Possess The Following Experience And Skills

• You have very strong communication skills and are able to effectively communicate to both internal and external audiences at all levels in the organization.
• You are independently motivated and eager to work together in teams as part of cross functional projects and work streams.
• You are able to digest detailed reinsurance transactions and able to explain complex points to non-actuarial audiences.
• You are flexible and able to listen to different viewpoints and make course corrections when necessary.
• You have a working knowledge of casualty insurance products.
• Experience with regional casualty market in EMEA is preferrable.
• In addition, you possess a university degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, engineering or similar), and ideally have an actuarial qualification or are pursuing one, which we will support.
• To be a successful business partner, you enjoy communicating and working together with different internal and external clients, and are proficient in English. Fluent communiction in German is an advantage but not required.
• Last but not least, as a motivated, reliable and adaptable team colleague, you actively contribute to finding solutions.
