Job summary

Cross Border Talents is seeking an experienced O2C leader to own the end-to-end cycle within a global medical technology company operating from Porto. You will oversee order management, billing, collections, and cash applications while driving process improvements.

The role requires 5–7 years in O2C/Finance Ops, 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, and strong ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday). German fluency and relocation to Porto are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in O2C, AR or Finance Operations.
• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Hands-on ERP experience: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday.
• Experience with global, multi-currency environments.
• Fluent German ( spoken & written) and advanced English (C1).
• Willingness to relocate to Porto, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and perform O2C operations: order management, billing, collections, cash application and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and review AR ageing reports, drive collection strategies and reduce DSO.
• Resolve escalated disputes and negotiate payment terms with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with audit, SOX and internal controls, IFRS and tax requirements.
• Drive process automation, standardisation and efficiency improvements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and reporting to senior management.
• Train and mentor junior O2C specialists.
• Work with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax teams.

What you need

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• 5–7 years' experience in O2C, AR or Finance Operations, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls and compliance frameworks
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday)
• Experience with global, multi-currency environments
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and advanced English (C1)
