Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior ML Engineer (Agentic Search) based in Switzerland. You will design, train, and deploy models powering retrieval, ranking, and indexing at scale, contributing to a high-availability AI search platform.

You will lead ML capabilities for large-scale, agent-oriented search systems, improve search quality, and work with distributed teams to bring models into production while balancing latency, cost, and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or applied ML experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience deploying ML models in production systems.
• Hands-on with retrieval, ranking, or recommendation systems.
• Familiar with large-scale data processing and high-throughput environments.
• Ability to design evaluation frameworks and meaningful metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, deploy, and maintain ML models for retrieval, ranking, and search relevance in production environments.
• Build and optimize embedding-based indexing and large-scale information retrieval systems.
• Develop ML models supporting web crawling, data selection, and content understanding.
• Define meaningful quality metrics for agent-native search and build evaluation pipelines.
• Work on large-scale systems handling high-throughput query workloads and production traffic.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into production services and infrastructure.
