Medartis AG in Basel, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to join its in‑house team. You will own cross‑border M&A deals, draft and negotiate international contracts, and advise on corporate governance for a global medtech group.

Requirements include a Swiss law degree, Swiss bar admission and/or LL.M., 5–8 years as in‑house counsel, and fluent German, English, and French. This role blends high‑level strategy with hands‑on deal work in a fast‑moving life sciences environment.

Qualifikationen

• Swiss law degree (Master of Laws or licentiate) from a Swiss university.
• Swiss bar admission and/or LL.M. preferred.
• 5–8 years of in‑house legal experience in an international company, ideally medtech or life sciences.
• Experience with listed company governance and cross‑border M&A.
• Fluency in German, English, and French.

Aufgaben

• Lead M&A projects from due diligence through integration.
• Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial agreements.
• Advise HQ and subsidiaries on corporate, commercial, and economic law.
• Support governance, board matters, and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee litigation and coordinate external counsel globally.
• Serve as data protection contact and train on compliance topics.
