Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Senior Materials Planner for an on-site role in Grens, Vaud. You will develop production plans aligned with demand, manage in-house and outsourced operations, and coordinate with quality, sourcing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 8–10 years of materials planning experience, fluency in English and French, and familiarity with ERP systems, APICS, and ISO13485. This is a senior, on-site position at Cytiva, a Danaher operating company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Masters preferred).
• 8-10 years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution.
• APICS Certification preferred; Oracle knowledge (EBS and ASCP) and experience.
• Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred.
• Medical Devices experience, ISO13485 is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Autonomous, rigorous, natural leader, customer and continuous improvement oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create a production plan aligned to demand volumes and inventory strategy – manage Work Orders for in-house production, sterilization and outsourced operations.
• Incorporate supply constraints (materials availability, supplier lead times, capacity, shelf-life) and flag gaps proactively.
• Run alternate scenario planning and define mitigation plans with quantified impact.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Quality, MFG, Sourcing, Customer Service, Distribution) and lead action follow-ups.
• Maintain ERP master data accuracy (LT, MOQ, safety stock, batch size) with Demand Planner and inventory SME.
• Support ECO/ECR changes affecting planning/production, New Product Introduction, and transfers.
• Monitor key metrics: Liquidations, On-time delivery, Inventory.

The Senior Materials planner collaborates with the cross‑functional team for the smoothest demand and supply planning, a high quality, and a timely availability for the customers.

This position reports to the Materials manager, and will be an on‑site role (in Grens, Vaud).

What You Will Do

• Create a production plan aligned to demand volumes and inventory strategy - create and maintain Work Orders for in‑house production, sterilization and Outsourced operations.
• Integrate supply constraints (materials availability, supplier LT/capacity, sterilization capacity, prod capacity, shelf‑life) into the plan and highlight gaps/conflicts proactively through escalation
• Run alternate scenario planning, recommend recovery mitigation plans with quantified impact and communicate production priorities/mitigation scenario set according to customer impact, and business needs
• Cross functional coordinator (Quality, MFG, Sourcing, Customer Service, and Distribution) & mitigation plan leader on misses (lead meeting & action plan execution follow up)
• Maintain planning parameter (ERP master data) accuracy jointly with the Demand Planner & inventory SME (LT, MOQ, safety stock, batch size)
• Support implementation of ECO/ECR changes affecting planning or production flows, New product introduction and Transfer or Work projects.
• Key metrics: Liquidations/On‑time delivery/Inventory

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) - Masters Degree preferred
• 8-10 years of proven experience in Materials Planning and Execution
• APICS Certification preferred - Oracle knowledge (EBS and ASCP) and experience preferred
• Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred
• Medical Devices experience, ISO13485 is a plus
• Fluent in English and French
• Autonomous, rigorous, natural leader, customer and continuous improvement oriented
