Job summary

CSEM in Neuchâtel is seeking an experienced LPBF expert to strengthen its Additive Manufacturing and Component Reliability Group. You will own LPBF printing activities and advance manufacturing of single- and multi-metal components.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on LPBF experience, a strong scientific background, and fluency in German, French, and English. The role involves mentoring students and delivering client-ready documentation on-site.

Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience in operating LPBF systems.
A strong scientific background, demonstrated by one of the following: PhD in a relevant field, with a background in mechanical engineering.
Master's degree in a relevant field, combined with several years of professional experience and a background or practical experience in mechanical engineering.
Good communications skills in German, French, and English.

Responsibilities

The role encompasses the full scope of LPBF activities.
Hands-on operation of three complementary LPBF systems.
Delivering high-quality technical documentation and progress reports for industrial customers.
Maintaining an active on-site presence, delivery of laboratory tours, and supervision of students undertaking semester projects and internships.
