Zusammenfassung

UBP - Union Bancaire Privée is seeking an experienced backend software engineer to design, implement and operate resilient Java services. You will work with Spring Framework and Boot across REST/SOAP APIs, while integrating with Oracle and MS SQL Server via JPA/Hibernate.

Frontend touches may include Vue.js/Angular dashboards for operations. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, API security, and comprehensive test automation, collaborating across teams to align architecture with business

Qualifikationen

• 7–15 years of professional software engineering experience; proven track record supporting production systems.
• Strong backend development with Java (8+ to latest LTS).
• Experience with Spring 4/5 and Spring Boot 2.x/3.x.
• Designing REST and SOAP APIs; OpenAPI standards.
• Frontend exposure with Vue.js or Angular for operations UIs.

Mission

• Design, implement, and operate backend services and APIs using Java (17/11/8), Spring (4/5), and Spring Boot (2.x/3.x).
• Build and maintain REST and SOAP APIs; manage HTTP layers and API specifications using OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Develop supporting front-end/admin consoles in Vue.js or Angular where relevant to platform operations.
• Integrate with Oracle and MS SQL Server using JPA/Hibernate; contribute SQL/PL-SQL and manage schema changes via Liquibase.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based) with Maven and Git, including quality gates and test automation.
• Apply secure authentication and authorization patterns (Kerberos, OAuth2/OIDC); follow AppSec best practices (OWASP, input validation, secrets handling).
• Contribute to test strategy and automation (unit, integration, BDD/ATDD with JUnit 5, Mockito, Cucumber; Jest on frontend).
• Support production operations: troubleshoot incidents, analyze performance, and drive reliability improvements.
• Document APIs, architecture decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures; track work in JIRA.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align software architecture with business goals and platform standards.

Key Qualifications

• 7–15 years of professional software engineering experience; proven track record supporting production systems.
• Strong backend development with:- Java (from 8 to the latest LTS being the target for all apps)
• Spring 4/5 and Spring Boot 2.x/3.x
• REST and SOAP API design; HTTP layer fundamentals; OpenAPI standard
• Frontend exposure with Vue.js or Angular for operational/admin UIs.
• Databases: Oracle and MS SQL Server, with hands-on experience in:- JPA/Hibernate
• SQL, DB performance fundamentals
• Liquibase for schema migrations
• PL/SQL (beginner level, <2 years)
• CI/CD and DevOps practices:- Git, Maven
• Pipeline management in YAML
• Test automation integration in pipelines
• Security and authentication:- Kerberos and OAuth2/OIDC
• Good knowledge of AppSec (SQL injection, XSS, RCE) and secure coding practices
• Testing practices:- JUnit 5, Mockito, Cucumber (BDD/ATDD)
• Jest for frontend unit tests
• Note: Team does not practice strict TDD; emphasis is on pragmatic, automated testing
• Software architecture proficiency and ability to document clearly.
• Languages: Fluent in English. French is useful.
• Soft skills: Organized, reliable in production support, able to communicate clearly and collaborate across teams.

Nice to Have

• Rule engines and BPMN tools (e.g., Drools; beginner <2 years).
• Node.js for tooling or auxiliary services.
• E2E testing experience (Cypress, Protractor, Selenium WebDriver, PlayWright).
• API/Load testing (JMeter) — Note: Tool may not be available in current environment.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Checkmarx or Fortify).
• Strong sensitivity to code quality (Sonar rules/Clean Code) and OWASP guidelines.
• Experience in regulated environments (banking/financial services).
