Job summary

Arbeitnow is seeking a senior Java engineer in Zurich to join a global fintech platform team. You will focus on identifying and removing performance bottlenecks, rearchitecting critical components, and driving scalable evolution with senior architects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Java (Spring, JPA/Hibernate), strong performance engineering skills, and solid SQL knowledge (Oracle/PostgreSQL/SQL Server). Agile experience and excellent English communication are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Java enterprise development experience.
• Performance engineering expertise: profiling, GC tuning, load testing.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Background in financial services or high-throughput systems.
• Solid understanding of software design and enterprise patterns.
• Experience working in Agile, distributed teams.
• Excellent English communication skills.
