Job summary

SwissPeak Partners GmbH in Zurich seeks a senior Java engineer with a strong performance engineering background to join our global fintech platform team. You will work in a cross-functional Scrum team to identify bottlenecks, optimize JVM performance, and rearchitect critical components for scalability.

You will collaborate with senior architects and engineers, applying advanced profiling, load testing, and Java EE/Spring technologies in a high-throughput environment serving complex securities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java enterprise development (Java SE/JEE, Spring, JPA/Hibernate).
• Performance engineering experience including profiling, GC tuning, load testing, bottleneck analysis.
• Strong SQL skills (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
• Background in financial services or high-throughput enterprise systems.
• Solid understanding of software design and enterprise architectural patterns.
• Experience working in Agile, distributed team environments.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Nice to have Kubernetes/OpenShift experience.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks.

What you will be doing

You will work within a cross-functional Scrum team on a high-throughput, enterprise-grade platform serving the global Securities Finance and Collateral market. Your focus will be on identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks, rearchitecting critical components for scalability, and driving the platform's technical evolution alongside senior architects.

What we are looking for
