Zusammenfassung

Rieter AG in Winterthur is seeking a Senior System Engineer to oversee secure, scalable IT infrastructure across global data centres. You will design, implement, operate, and continuously improve server, storage, and virtualization platforms, with strong emphasis on Active Directory, Windows Server, and automation.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in IT system engineering, deep knowledge of SAN, VMware, and security practices, plus excellent English communication.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Extensive IT system engineering/ops experience (7–10 years).
• Experience with enterprise server infrastructure and virtualization.
• Strong knowledge of storage, SAN, and Microsoft infrastructure services.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, operate, and improve global IT infrastructure with focus on server, storage, SAN, virtualization, and Active Directory.
• Manage physical and virtual servers, storage systems, SAN infrastructure, and related data centre hardware.
• Plan and execute hardware lifecycle activities including refreshes and updates.
• Provide second- and third-level support for server, storage, SAN, virtualization, Windows Server, and AD services.
• Analyze IT requirements and develop secure, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure compliance with config, security, and documentation standards.
• Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell and tooling.
• Collaborate with global IT teams and external partners to ensure reliable services.
