Senior GNSS Applications Engineer – Global Support

Job summary

u-blox is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join the Application Engineering team and provide high-level technical support to global customers, coordinating with Product Development, R&D, Product Management, Field Application Engineering, Sales and Quality. You will be the technical product expert, ensuring customers receive design-in guidance and support to succeed.

The role requires working with computer and hardware concepts, GNSS applications, and tools for validation and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in another European or APAC language is a plus.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to understand customer systems and provide expert tech support.
• Ability to replicate and analyze customer issues using support tools and lab equipment.
• Experience with validation tools, development hardware and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer expectations and provide on-site and remote technical support for GNSS applications and projects.
• Author and contribute to technical product documentation such as datasheets, integration and user manuals, and application notes.
• Provide customized design-in vehicles, prototype deliveries and tailored technical solutions to accelerate customer adoption.
• Analyze non-conformities, support root-cause investigations and contribute to corrective actions with R&D and Quality teams.
• Collect and process customer feedback, identify improvement areas and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
• Provide support from customer design-in through maintenance phases, ensuring seamless integration and maximal product value.
• Host technical trainings and workshops for Field Application Engineers and customers worldwide.
