Rieter in Winterthur, Switzerland is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable global network services that support our worldwide manufacturing and IT operations. You will collaborate with international teams, lead projects, and mentor apprentices while ensuring compliance with security standards and delivering reliable network performance.

A bachelor’s degree or HF, 7+ years of IT experience, and strong English are required; knowledge of Huawei/Cisco

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or HF in Computer Engineering, IT or related field.
• Seven or more years of IT experience.
• Extensive knowledge of IT Network technologies.
• Experience with Huawei and Cisco LAN/WLAN components.
• Knowledge of ISP and data centre environments (routing, switching, MPLS, BGP, load balancers).
• Strong Windows OS, security and networking knowledge.
• IT security with focus on firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good English and cross-cultural communication.

Aufgaben

• Design, build and operate the global network infrastructure, central network services and network security solutions.
• Develop, operate and monitor the global data center network infrastructure.
• Provide second- and third-level support for network infrastructure and services.
• Analyze internal customer requirements and develop secure, scalable network solutions.
• Ensure compliance with global architecture, configuration and security standards.
• Continuously improve the design, performance and reliability of existing network environments.
• Lead and contribute to network projects, including infrastructure and service lifecycle activities, cloud connectivity and network security.
• Support and guide apprentices in the networking area.
