Job summary

Digitec Galaxus AG is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for Team Appic to bridge native apps and web frontends, delivering seamless web-native interactions and reliable push notifications. You will own design and implementation across the stack, coordinate with iOS/Android teams, and mentor peers to help deliver complex solutions daily.

You bring 5+ years of fullstack experience (React/TypeScript, .NET/C#), knowledge of GraphQL and MongoDB, and a passion for innovative, efficient software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science (ETH/university/university of applied sciences) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in fullstack web development (frontend React/TypeScript and backend .NET/C#).
• Experience with GraphQL and MongoDB; mobile development experience in Swift/Kotlin is a plus.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship code across the full stack from frontend to backend.
• Build and maintain web interfaces and APIs for the mobile apps to rely on via WebViews.
• Ensure push-notification backend reliability so the apps receive all pushes.
• Coordinate native feature development for iOS and Android with feature teams.
• Coach software engineers and help them grow while delivering complex solutions daily.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on Team Appic, you're the vital link between our native apps and the web frontend and backend. You build the web layer that lets the app talk to it flawlessly, forging a seamless bridge between web and native and you make sure our backend never misses a beat delivering push notifications.

• Hands-on execution is at the core of what you do: designing, building, and shipping code across the full stack, from frontend to backend
• You build and maintain the web-facing interfaces and APIs the mobile apps rely on, and support the integration of the web application into the native apps via WebViews
• The technical reliability of the push-notification module falls under your care, ensuring the backend can deliver all the pushes the apps need
• Coordinating the development of native features for iOS and Android happens in close alignment with the feature teams involved, including clarifying dependencies and interfaces
• Coaching software engineers comes naturally to you, backed by the interpersonal skills to explain complex topics and concepts clearly
• A strong track record as a hands-on software engineer, deeply involved in designing and building complex solutions day to day
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (ETH/university/university of applied sciences), or equivalent relevant work experience
• Proven experience (5 years+) in classic fullstack web development, both frontend (ideally React/TypeScript) and backend (ideally .NET/C#). Experience with GraphQL, MongoDB, and mobile development (Swift, Kotlin) is a plus
• Ideally, some experience with the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile apps (Android & iOS) or the motivation and initiative to grow into this area
• A willingness to challenge «how things have always been done» and propose more efficient, automated or effective solutions

• Fluent English (working language); good German is a plus
