TomFit, an AI-native health startup in Zürich, seeks a senior fullstack developer to own end-to-end product initiatives—from problem framing to shipped software across web, mobile, and the TomBot integration.

You will work AI-first across design, coding, testing, and analysis, collaborating with product, QA, machine development, and design. On-site in Zürich Stettbach or Kraków, you’ll help evolve a hardware-software platform.

We're TomFit, an AI-native physical health provider, building our own training machine and studios, scaling out of Zürich.

Our strength training machine, the TomBot, works with a software platform and AI to give people a training regime that actually adapts to them; integrated diagnostics tailor every exercise to the user. Hardware, software, and intelligence in one product - built by a team of 25 across engineering, product, and operations, running three hubs with more than a dozen machines deployed.

We work AI-first. No tickets, no handovers: one developer leads an initiative from problem to release, and AI multiplies what one person can do. In charge, not alone - you have a product owner as your first stop, specialists who set standards and review, and colleagues who contribute.

That is where you come in. We are looking for a senior fullstack developer who builds products, not features. You hear a business problem, come back with 'here are three ways to solve this, I recommend B because...', then build it, ship it, and present the outcome - across the apps our members train with, the backend that runs our hubs, and the machine they train on.

What you will do

• Own initiatives end to end - from problem to shipped product, including scope, technical design, implementation, quality, and release readiness.
• Build across the stack - backend services, web and mobile apps, and the integration with the TomBot and its sensor data.
• Work AI-first - use AI daily across design, coding, testing, and analysis, and keep raising your own leverage as the tools evolve.
• Lead, don't solo - pull in design, QA, machine development, and your product owner when the feature needs them. You stay accountable; asking for help is leading, waiting is not.
• Know the product - train on the machine, watch real sessions, and understand our members and market well enough to challenge requirements.

A few things we'll need from you

• You are an experienced fullstack engineer who can show us real products you have worked on. Ideally, you have built products with a hardware component.
• Our current stack is Java, React, Flutter, and Kotlin Multiplatform - no need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable diving into them all.
• You work AI-first already: real hands‑on experience building with AI as a daily practice, beyond prompting into workflows and automation. Experience building AI‑based features is a plus.
• You take ownership: you propose solutions instead of asking what to build, and you drive topics to closure.
• You can work on‑site with us in Zürich Stettbach or Kraków. This is an on‑site role because the product is physical. You will test directly with the TomBot, observe training sessions, work with sensor data, and iterate with the team in the studio.
• Excellent English. German is a big plus.
