Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Zurich to lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models in production, partnering with customer teams and engineering stakeholders. You will own discovery, scoping, design, build, and rollout, and measure success through production adoption and impact on roadmaps.

This role operates in a hybrid Zurich setup with relocation assistance and up to 50% travel, supporting constructive customer outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment with customer-facing work.
• 20-character max?
• Experience delivering complex systems in fast-moving environments.
• Production-grade code in Python/JavaScript or similar stacks.
• Experience with models/LLMs and impact on product.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models in production.
• Own discovery, scoping, design, build, and rollout.
• Collaborate with customer engineering and domain teams.
• Measure adoption and impact to inform roadmaps.
• Write and review production-grade code when needed.
