Nicoll Curtin in Zürich seeks an experienced (Senior) FIX Engineer Specialist to drive development and optimization of electronic trading and connectivity solutions.

You will work on business-critical trading platforms and FIX integrations, collaborating with technology and business teams to enhance trading workflows, market connectivity, and order routing processes in an international, professional environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in IT, CS, Engineering, natural sciences, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with FIX Protocol and FIX interfaces.
• Good understanding of electronic trading environments and capital markets.
• Knowledge of asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, or FX.
• Hands-on experience with FIX Protocol, TLS, encryption technologies, and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with order routing and trading workflows.
• Exposure to Front Arena AMS, FIS Cross-Asset Trading & Risk Suite, Avaloq, or Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.

• Customize and support FIX interfaces and connectivity solutions.
• Define and optimize workflows across order routing and trading platforms.
• Implement, configure, and test new functionalities and system enhancements.
• Work with electronic trading systems covering market access, order routing, and settlement processes.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and support stakeholders across the organization.
• Troubleshoot trading connectivity and workflow-related issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to project delivery and system improvement initiatives.
